The latest version, Angular 14 was released on June 2, 2022, with new features and updates. In this post, we'll look at some of the new features and updates available in Angular 14.


Features


Angular CLI7: The CLI has been upgraded to version 7, which comes with many new features like the ability to use multiple configurations within the same project, build performance improvements, and more.


Improvements to Server-Side Rendering: Advancements to SPA rendering with Angular Universal (Server Side Rendering) have been made. You can now use the same instance of your application both on the server and client-side after making changes to your code base.


Updated AT Compiler: The AT compiler has been changed so that it works with TypeScript 3.2 and TypeScript 3.3. This lets you use all the new features that came with these TypeScript versions.


The Angular Material Design Components: The Angular Material library has been improved with new components like Datepickerinput, SelectMenultem, Menu ltem, Button, etc., which come with material updates as well as bug fixes for existing components like Card.


ngx-testing-library 6: The ngx-testing-library has been updated with support for Tested and TestComponentBuilder APis from the TestBed API in the Angular core project. This means that you can now write your tests using these APIs instead of using the TestComponentBuilder API, which is only available for testing components written using the JIT compiler approach (which is now deprecated).

-Angular 3 was skipped: Angular version 3 was cut to avoid confusion caused by the router package’s version being misaligned, as it was already released as v3. 3.0.

-Angular 7 was released in Oct 2018


-Angular 8 was released in May 2019
